====== Rules ====== This namespace lists the rules that apply for the Five Boroughs campaign. * [[rules:#Basics]] * [[rules:#Character Creation]] * [[rules:experience costs]] * [[rules:training]] * [[rules:disciplines]] * [[rules:hunting]] * [[rules:part of the night]] * [[rules:multiple contact ratings]] ===== Basics ===== * We use the [[book>contents.html|Vampire the Masquerade: 3R edition]] * The optional rule [[book>advanced-training.html|Advanced Training]] is in effect * The optional [[book>activity-willpower.html|Activity Based Willpower]] rules are used * We use house rules for: * [[rules:experience costs]] * [[rules:training]] * [[rules:hunting]] * Any other source material can be used with approval only ===== Character Creation ===== * New player characters start with their experience equal to the lowest experience of the party * Player characters are limited to Camarilla clans. * Players should feel free to select a Bloodline not normally associated with the Clan of their choice. * Players are strongly encouraged to select a bloodline from among the bloodlines normally associated with a Camarilla clan, but accomodations can be made for exceptions (confer with the ST about your ideas to see how they can be fit into the world). * Player characters will start out newly arriving in New York from other parts of the world, please take this into account when selecting backgrounds. * All backgrounds describe a relation between your character and the world, so all backgrounds should be justified through character history; an exception to this is the Clan background, which is assumed to be there as long as you are a member in good standing of the clan. * It is explicitly allowed to start characters with less backgrounds than required, as long as the Experience that should have been used for backgrounds is set aside and earmarked for improving backgrounds during the game.
