- | //This flaw is supernatural or social, depending on the root cause.//

- | The character cannot enter someone's home until he has been invited at least once — by someone that reasonably has the authority to invite you in. Public buildings do not require such invitation, but Houses of God (i.e., all churches, temples, monastries, etc.) count as homes. Note that havens are also homes.

- | ===== Medium (1-pt. merit) =====

- | You are a conduit for the dead, specifically creatures like ghosts or wraiths. Though you cannot see or hear them directly (as with Auspex), you can feel their generic presence in the Umbra if they are near. Any such creatures are immediately aware of your presence and the fact that you are a conduit.
- | |||
- | If you relax, you can allow the dead to take possession of your body. While possessed, these entities have full control over your movement and speech. Your mind is isolated in the void while you are possessed, or you may have hallucinations that entirely overwrite the reality your body perceives. Some ghosts may even send the perceptions of your body to your isolated mind, either directly or in altered form, and allow you to you to retain full or partial control of your body, even though your perception may not match reality at all.
- | |||
- | Stronger ghosts, as well as entities such as demons which are naturally capable of possessing people, may also activate this ability without your intervention at no cost to them.
- | |||
- | Once the entity leaves, you are left exhausted until you sleep. If your mind was left isolated, you will have full amnesia about what your body did while possessed, though you will recall any hallucinations (partial or otherwise) you experienced while in the void. Like humans who suffer amnesia after the wound of the Kiss is licked closed, your mind will sometimes rationalize a narrative that makes sense to you, such as that you fainted or fell asleep and dreamed, especially if you did not expect to be possessed.

- | Note: It is not uncommon for ghosts - especially those who are further gone - to re-enact the trauma they experienced to cause them to become ghosts through you, rather than speaking with you as a rational person might. For example, a bride who was murdered during her wedding may dress you up in the remains of her wedding gown as you hallucinate her wedding day, and the brutal murder she went through. Often these experiences are traumatic, but do provide a clue as to how to bring the ghost to rest, for example indicating that her wedding ring should be placed with her body, as it was never given to her on the wedding day. |
