Lady Aisling Sturbridge is the High Regent of the Chantry of the Five Boroughs. She expects everyone in her chantry to adhere to the proper conduct and manners as they ought to be in civil society – with “civil society” in this case being the conduct common in upper-class victorian society.

Those that have observed Lady Sturbridge for more than a few days quickly conclude that her hair has a different colour each day. A fact that Lady Aisling has long since accepted, and tries to keep as proper as possible by wearing lipstick to match.
