The Queen's Heart is a powerful organic artifact that is embedded in person attuned to it. It binds with the body and is thereafter a part of the biological system. Over the course of a few weeks the Queen's Heart changes the body of the attuned person enhancing her physique and embedding a Hearthstone socket into the breastbone of the attuned.
Biological enhancements to the hosts body provide a +1 bonus to Strength, Dexterity en Stamina.
With an expenditure of 2 motes the host can extend the biological enhancements of the Queen's Heart. Her skin will color and large parts of her skin will harden to form a protective carapace. Her hair bundles into chitinous segmented strands and her legs and arms will grow sharp extension (adding +3L to her Kick and Clinch) on the already hardened carapace. The outer carapace gives an additional +4L/+6B natural soak with 2L/2B hardness.
While in this extended form the Queen's can extend razor sharp talons (add +1 accuracy +3L to her Punch). Two sets of chitinous wing bones spring from her back. At her command, a deep purple veil of essence forms from the four wing bones, allowing the Queen to fly up to double her movement speed (climbing at half her flying speed, and diving at ten times her flying speed). While she is flying, the Queen has a -3 internal penalty on all actions not related to her flight. She can also use the sharp tips of the wing bones as natural weapons1).
This extension of the Queen's heart counts as a perfect disguise, and with each morph the attuned host can determine whether the amethyst Hearthstone will remain visible or whether it will be absorbed into the disguise. Artifact clothing will be absorbed and still function as normal as part of the mutation, but any normal clothing worn by the queen during or after the morphing will be shredded by the sharp carapace. It is possible to wear a sturdy cloak or other such garment, but anything more delicate is torn to piece with the tiniest of movements. In effect, the Queen can only operate with her full range of movement while naked, something which will not go unnoticed as most of her more sensitive bodyparts will not harden into carapace. Although the form's sharp carapace makes short work of most garments, it is surprisingly unharmful to those that the queen choses to embrace.
