Requirements

To qualify to become a tree dancer, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.

Class Skills

The tree dancers class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Balance (dex), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Hide (Dex), Knowledge (Geography) (Int), Knowledge (Nature) (Int), Listen (Wis), Perform (cha), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), Spot (Wis), and Survival (Wis).

Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Class Features

The following are the class features of the Tree Dancer.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

Tree Dancers gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor.

Spells per Day

When a new tree dancer level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class she belonged to before adding the prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained, except for an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one divine spellcasting class before becoming an tree dancer, she must decide to which class she adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.

Rebuke Plants (Su)

Rebuke Plants (Su): Beginning at second level, the Tree Dancer can channel the power of your faith through her holy symbol to rebuke or command plant creatures as though she were a cleric of her Tree Dancer level rebuking undead. See the cleric class feature rebuke undead (PHB p. 33), and the Plant Domain granted power (PHB p. 188). If the Tree Dancer was already able to rebuke or command plant creatures, such as by having the Plant domain, those levels stack.

Plant Expert

The Tree Dancer gains a bonus equal to her Tree Dancer level to Profession (Herbalism). She may also add her level to any Knowledge (Nature) and Survival checks that relates to plants, including checks to forage for herbs.

She may also add her Tree Dancer level to Balance and Climb when using those to move in the trees (not on the ground among the trees, actual movement within the canopy.

Fertilise

At 3rd level, the Tree Dancer gains the ability to fertilise the land. She can manifest Plant Growth at will, as a spell like ability.

Spontaneity

A Tree Dancer can channel stored spell energy into plant spells that she hasn’t prepared ahead of time. She can “lose” a prepared spell in order to cast any spell from the Plant domain of the same level or lower.

Treant Wild Shape (Su)

The Tree Dancer can use her wildshape ability (if any) to shift into a plant creature. This ability is limited by the regular limitations of wild shape regarding size and HD of the Plant Creature.

Animate Tree (Sp)

At fourth level, a Tree Dancer can animate trees within 180 feet at will, controlling a single tree at a time. It takes 1 full round for a normal tree to uproot itself. Thereafter it moves and fights as a treant in all respects. Animated trees lose their ability to move if the treant that animated them is incapacitated or moves out of range. Though its Intelligence score is only 2 while animated, the tree automatically understands the Tree Dancers commands. The animated tree gains a number of bonus Hit Dice equal to the number of Tree Dancer levels the character possesses. This ability is otherwise similar to liveoak with a caster level equal to the Tree Dancer's result on a Perform (Dance) check. Animated trees have the same vulnerability to fire that a treant has.

At sixth level, the Tree Dancer can animate up to two trees

At eighth level, the Tree Dancer can animate up to three trees.

At tenth level, the Tree Dancer can animate up to four trees.

It takes a standard action to use (in addition to the full round action for the tree to uproot itself). At no point can the Tree Dancer have more active animated trees by this ability then she is allowed to control.

Plant Facility

The Tree Dancer can rebuke or command plants with the Rebuke Plants ability as if she were three levels higher than her actual rebuke level she uses to determine the benefits of that ability. This means she can also command 3 additional HD of plant creatures.
