Studied at King's College in various fields. Here he made a close friend, James Cullen, who was pressured by his father to study even though he was not smart enough for it. Samuel took pity on James and helped him with his studies in return for help with experiments and projects, where James would take notes, watch meters, clean up, monitor safety, etc. allowing Samuel to focus on the research itself. Because of their shared interest in the occult, they later joined a secret society together. Here they met another person, Alex Chandler, who was studying law and finance in another school. Alex realized the team of Samuel and James worked well together and saw a way to capitalize on their inventions, so he made sure to spend time with them until they accept him in the friend circle.
