A fairy godmother is a fey with magical powers who acts as a mentor or parent to a human, elf or half-elf, in the role that an actual godparent was expected to play in many societies. The Faerie Godmother often acts as a mentor to the Faerie Godchild, teaching them about the ways of nature and the Fey.
In certain special cases, the Fairy Godmother does not have to be a Fey by birth, but can become one by means of a mystical ritual, provided the Fairy Godmother meets the criteria: first, she must be a human, elf or half-elf. Other races are too far removed from Fey to allow for the transition, though certain races may qualify at the discretion of the DM. Secondly, she must be have a close connection to the Fey and a Fey sponsor to participate in the ritual. At a minimum, the character to become a Fairy Godmother must have access to druidic magic of third level or higher. Thirdly, she must have a godchild who possesses magical powers and who has a 'special' magical nature beyond a human, elf or half-elf. For example, a Half-Celestial Elf, an Elpha or an Elf Paragon.
The ritual involves forming a close bond with the magical nature of both the Fey sponsor and the magical nature of the godchild. These energies are woven together with the magic of the Fairy Godmother and infuse her with the powers of this template.

As a guardian and representative of nature, the Faerie Godmother is closely in touch with the natural world and can share this energy with those around her. She can share her Woodland Stride and Trackless Step with her allies as long as they remain within 30 feet of her.
Due to her link with the natural world the faerie godmother can act as a catalyst of magical locations. If the godmother is within 30 feet of het godchild when the godchild activates a magical location she is attuned to, either as the only attuned creature or as part of a group of attuned creatures, the effect of the location is amplified.
Additionally, the godmother can act as an intermediary between her godchild and a magical location to which the godchild is not attuned. Doing so requires one hour of uninterrupted concentration. After the concentration the godchild counts as attuned to the location as long as both godchild and godmother stay within the location and within 30 feet of each other.
The specific details of this amplification are to be determined per location, together with the DM.
The Faery Godmother can use her wildshape ability to shift into a Fey. She also gains one additional use of wildshape per day. This ability is limited by the regular limitations of wild shape regarding size and HD of the Fey and is otherwise identical to this ability.
At 16th level the Faerie Godmother gains the ability to speak with animals and plants as the associated spells. Additionally, she can extend this ability to an area of 30 ft, allowing anyone in the area to understand the animals and plants.
At 20th level the Faerie Godmother becomes so in tune with the laws of nature she can change fate itself. Once per day as an extraordinary ability, she can reroll one roll that either she or an ally has just made before the game master declares the results. She must take the result of the reroll even if it's worse than the original roll.
