Princess Roxelana is the first wife of the Prince of Azuru. She is a Wood Aspected Dragon-Blood residing in Azuru, and a niece to the emperor of Sayati. Her mother is an al-Qureshi, the sister of the emperor and the grandchild of one of the previous emperors, and her father an al-Safahr.

She was born of a mother descending from a dynastic house who was married off to one of the high nobles from Sayati. When the dragons blessed her, her father decided that she should be hidden from the Realm, and instead of sending her to the Realm for education married her to the Prince of Azuru. Her great-grandfather is Farukh al-Toma.

She has professed that she has no loyalty to Realm or the Immaculate Faith.
