Sayati is an empire directly north of the mountain range to the north of the Igani sultanate. Sayati's patron god is Sabat.

On 773, 28 Descendent Earth, the short war between Igani and Sayati was ended with the withdrawal of Igani troops. Immediately thereafter, negotiations were opened to unite the two countries through intermarriages.

Culture

The sayati culture is very competitive, and is storngly influenced by Delzahn culture. At the higher circles of society, this usually manifests itself as intense political manipulations, with assassination as a very real option, even among siblings. Women are seen as political tokens to be passed around to strengthen alliances. However, when such alliances fail, the men usually perish (one way or another), while the women are usually also the target of retribution by the victories party, who will use them as hostages to force compliance of the women's families.

Due to the frequent conflicts, the ratio of males vs. females is even more skewed towards females then in most surrounding countries.

Diplomatic Relations

At least one of the daughters of high nobility, Roxelana, in Sayati is married with a Prince in the former Samangan alliance. Though she put in an substantial amount of effort to get out of Sayati, and this does not really consitute a familial alliance as is usually the case.

Sayati maintains warm relations with a clan of Chiaroscuran Delzahn, and is neutral towards the clan of Garret.

Representatives of both The Lap and Harbourhead reside in Shatrah.

Sayati pays tribute to house Tepet.
