Alastar normally wears an impeccable suit and carries himself with an air of wealth and authority. He drives a red Porsche 944s2. He is the owner of Lippe, and can be found in the office of his financal firm Catai Aktienhandel und Finanzdienstleistungen if he has no other matters to attend. He owns the penthouse at 26A Wilmersdorf Straße and uses this as a place to bring guests for feeding, or for meetings in an informal setting. He also owns apartment 14 at 69 Goethestraße, to be used as a haven by Elisabeth-Maria Holstein.

Alastar has learned the tenets of the Dance of the Thrashing Dragon from Preecha Klahananong, and tries to adhere to them. This effort has met with mixed results.

He also maintains contact with several people he knows well and trusts to come through for him. Chief among these people are Christiana Wegener and skilled art and document forger; Franz Reismann, the Chief of Police of Charlottenburg; Lau Sin-Feng, a ruthless stock broker on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; and Otmar Kieffer, also known as “Skinny”, Kieffer is a self-styled “Arms dealer extraordinaire”.

Alastar has started carrying a SIG Sauer P220 holstered under his jacket, since the Sabbat kidnappings in fall 1991. He has also tossed several wooden stakes in the trunk of his cars, and makes sure to carry one in his suitcase.
